M33 galaxy in Triangulum

1200mm f/4.8 ISO6400 33 x 32s = 17.6 minutes

A galaxy photographed through the telescope, camera at prime focus. This is in a small constellation called Triangulum (there are just 3 brightish stars forming an elongated triangle). It is not far in the sky from the Andromeda Galaxy (M31).

Viewed by eye through an eyepiece on the scope there is very little to see because the galaxy is faint but the camera soon brings out the detail.
