The Milky Way in Cygnus

Now we are back to an unfiltered view. The bright blue star near the right is Alpha Cygni, the star at the northern end of the main cross shape of the constellation of Cygnus. This is a rich starry part of the Milky Way.

We are going to look in more detail at the area in the red box.
