The Great Wall through a telescope

In Cygnus: part of the glowing gas of the North America nebula

1,600 light years away

1200mm (telescope) f/4.8 ISO6400 65 x 32s = 35 minutes

This is the "Mexico" part of the North America Nebula, sometimes called the Great Wall.

This is in normal light (no filters) but the red is again due to hydrogen. Other elements emit the other colours. Notice the columns of dust, where new stars are forming.
